Been here 2 times and got hard cupcakes that been in the case at least a few days! They should be made fresh daily at five dollars each!!!
We walked in at 4:53 having noted their sign CLOSED at 5:30. One carrot cupcake left - PERFECT! Husband & I enjoy splitting our desserts. The sales lady couldn't shove the cupcake into our hands fast enough. She refused to allow us to sit down at tables to enjoy it. Flat out told us we could find a place outside because she closes at 5:30. (Aahhh?? It's not 5 yet)
What a Hugh disappointment! Two or three times a year we travel from Albuquerque to Ruidoso. NUMBER 1 thing after dinner is to stop in for the $5.00 Carrot cupcake. We always place an order for 2 dozen to share at work the day we leave.
Many people noting our dessert tried to purchase only to find the door was locked by 5:15.
We actually enjoyed Papa Bear, but today we learned it is now NANA'S.
Igore you when you walk in to carry on their conversation and make you feel uncomfortable... cupcakes are super dry not worth $8.00 a cupcake!!
We will miss PAPA. NANA'S won't be THE place to visit ever again. We wish her well..
This place was so cute. The two old ladies inside were very helpful and friendly. They were very apologetic for not having a certain favor but very helpful to find another option.

8 plus years PAPA was a place to bring friends, a place for my best friend & husband to feel like kids sharing a treat. If the gal needed to to attend an urgent matter, she could have asked us to return. Instead she was anything but polite or interested in doing business with us.
