Only the salad and beer were ok. Fish sandwich was nasty. It seemed like someone went to grocery and bought a package of frozen fish fillets. Ground round dinner was not good.
I have been to Farley's every time I cime to my mountain house in upper canyon. Half the time i get the chicken fried steak after snowboarding. Typically they have amazing chicken fried steak and service but it looks like i will never go back again. The manager asked if i wanted something else and charged me for it. The chicked fried steak looked like it was dipped in flour dropped in oil, than plopped on my plate. Yummy! Grease all around the plate and it was not gravey.
The food is usually pretty good and the price isn't bad for Ruidoso. The service on the other hand is less than desirable. I have eaten here on at least 3 occasions and have never had adequate service. It isn't atypical to wait 45 minutes for food and have empty drinks for the duration of a meal.
We've been coming to Farley's for close to 10 years. The food is usually good. I like the burgers. They have a nice outdoor patio area that has a stage with live music on busy nights. Overall good place to visit.
Something needs to change! The waitress was the same as i had last time and she was great but her holding her tongue showed me that the management had changed
Great brisket sandwich. Fun attentive staff that makes sure you have everything you need. Finally, a great live band playing outside. All are reasons that I will go back to Farley's when I'm in Ruidoso.
