The service is slow so recommend you do not come if you're in a hurry.
Service was a slow and our waitress was surley. Possibly short handed. Old fashioned chicken fried steak looked good but was not hot. Mashed potatoes also not hot. Cajun catfish very good. Fried shrimp got high marks. Chicken was average ( a little dry). 4
Best classic steakhouse in town. Everything on the menu is good. Drinks are strong and good.
Five stars for the food. We had a fillet and salmon and they were wonderful. Cannot recommend the spinach dip enough especially with the homemade chips. The drinks, liquor and wine, are large pours which makes them reasonably priced.
I had a steak at a bar in Chicago years ago and always thought it was the best I have ever had. I would work here if they would pay me in steak and nothing else. This is the absolute best I have ever had.
Horrible service and cooks do not know how to cook a steak. Ordered a medium rare steak and it came out medium well. Sent it back and it came back rare. It's really not that difficult with properly trained cooks to make a decent steak. If you are charging $30 for a steak it should be cooked properly! Also if you are spending over $300 with 8 people you would also expect better service. The waitress did not smile at all and also seemed displeased to be serving us. We were her only table!! With MAYBE 15 tables set in the entire restaurant you would expect better service and food. We have been here numerous times in years past and usually have to wait to be sat, it's easy to see why the restaurant was empty and obviously has gone down hill. Either management/ownership no longer cares or isn't listening to feedback given from actual customers. Will not be back going forward.
