Went to dinner Thursday evening at the Rio Grande Grill and Tap room. Seated immediately, upstairs with a cozy and very comfortable atmosphere. Our server, Sally, gets high marks for her patience, making great suggestions on the menu and wonderful overall attitude. Food was marvelous! So good in fact, returned the next evening for a second experience. Fall off the bone ribs! Try the bacon wrapped dates. Tried eight different beers. All good.☆☆☆☆☆
Very friendly staff. Items on the menu seem to overshoot the cooking staff ability however. Mac and cheese sold as an extra side for $3 should have something special. The creme Brule another example. The custard was superb but the sugar on top was too far torched and left each bite with a bitter aftertaste. Either the cook was rushed and torched it too much or is unaware of when to hold back with the torch. Good beers on tap, hamburgers and sandwiches are pretty good as well but if you want a hamburger with all the good stuff you'll be getting close to $20 easy. In short, great staff, good setting, average food at a slightly above average price. 5 stars for me means close to perfect. 3 stars I'll keep going back too.
Good food! Service has good personality, though a bit scattered, forgetting to bring salad till after the meal, forgetting to bring another ordered beer....etc. Could chalk it up to 'getting off shift in an hour to enjoy the beautiful weather', which was told when seated. Korean BBQ ribs, needed more time for tenderizing, but nice flavor. Fish and Chips are on point! Pasta is super good, be ready for a kick of heat! Pass on the original cheesecake, dry and unusual texture.
Great food! Great service! Have been several times and have always been impressed. Great seafood, steaks, burgers, and salads, not to mention the craft beer! I would recommend this place to everyone!
