Food and desserts very good (crab salad sandwich double chocolate cookie and chess pie). Very pleasant staff. Coffee kind of indistinct.
The village buttery has great atmosphere and friendly staff. I love to sit on the patio while eating the amazing chicken salad sandwich and buttermilk pie. Anyone who takes a trip to ruidoso should definitely stop in and enjoy a breath of small town feel there.
Great Pies and Cheese Cakes! The best ive had! The crab salad sandwich was not too flavorful however the tuna salad one was very. The soups are handmade, clamchowder was good and so was the cream of potato soup. Cute place inside, it seats about 30 people inside so it's a bit crowded but its not too bad because the food is good. They also have an out door seating area looks like it will seat 30 more. Recommend! They get very busy after 1:00pm so hurry to get a seat! Also pies sell out fast! Get them before 12:00pm!
Fantastic food, the hype is real. It doesn't matter if you're full, it doesn't matter if you've never heard of a buttermilk pie, get it and eat it. You'll thank me.
Local shop with local atmosphere and great soup and sandwich choices. Would definitely go back before going to a chain, and the outdoor patio is great. Sandwich was ok; bread was fresh and tavern ham was very good. Everything else was left off, and I didn't have time to ask them to correct it (quick lunch). Table service was good, but person taking orders seemed annoyed at all the prepare coming in 30 minutes before closing.
