We stayed for four nights. If you stay as long or longer, you will probably need to ask for more towels, toiletries, coffee, etc but the friendly staff will happily provide you what you need. In fact, we had one VERY minor issue and told the office about it. In that conversation I casually mentioned we were planning to grill that night. They resolved our issue and left us a drop light so we could grill after dark. (There are porch lights, so it wasn't totally necessary but was a big help.). It's that kind of stuff that makes a difference.
We stayed in cabin 14, "The Perfect Two Bedroom". There are 3 of us and it is cozy, but was just fine. I wouldn't stay in this cabin with more than two adults and two kids - everyone will be sleeping two up already. We cooked dinners and breakfasts there without issue and there is a grocery store right across the street. You are within walking distance to some restaurants and bars. The main town center is also within walking distance but is a hike. I would drive, parking is ample in town.
Keep in mind you aren't staying at the Marriott, you are staying at a cabin. In Ruidoso. In the mountains. Built in the '40s. I've kept my family in the big city too long and this is what we all needed. WiFi is available, but is hit or miss. Stay off it anyway. Enjoy the cool summer nights and quiet easy going atmosphere. We never even turned on the tv!
Cute cute cute cabins! We had plenty of room in our small set up! You'd think since they are close to the road that you wouldn't get the cabin experience but that was not a problem at all. Not so much in walking distance of all the stores but we did it and survived
It is a nice little get away. Crystal the manager is awesome.
We are hoping to come back during ski season.
Comfortable minimalist room. A little over priced. My wife really likes the quaintness of it.
Apache Village was a nice experience. Very clean cabin. Would recommend it to anyone.
I am pretty sure these are the same cabins my parents took me when I was a kid about 20+ years ago. In any case we are very pleased with the place. It is an older property but it very well maintained. It was clean when we got there and everything was perfect for our arrival.
