Stay here about 3-4 times a year. Most of the time it's a good experience, just depends on how the staff is feeling I guess. Sometimes they are picky, but sometimes they are ok with things. Would be nice to have consistency. I'm all about being flexible, but the mood swings can be trying, especially when you travel from afar and are looking forward to a relaxing time with fun for the family. On the other hand the kids enjoy the area and I love the scenery. (Deer will walk right through camp.) Other than the above small almost minute points, one of my favorite places to stay while here in Ruidoso. Oh and the office should extend the hours during peek summer times. Most people come in later than 4pm and can't get their cable boxes. Not too big of a deal though.
My Wife and I stayed here one night to break up the drive from Phoenix to Dallas and it was the most delightful place to stay. We stayed in one of the cabins it was perfect. The cabin was clean and well maintained. The RV park staff was amazing, they took care of my every need and had great recommendations of what to do while in town for the day. The park was so peaceful and watching the water flow by and hearing it babbling along down the mountain was an amazing experience. I will be staying here in the future hands down the best park in the area.
We just enjoyed our family reunion at Rainbow Lakes and were very pleased. We had family in 12 cabins of various sizes and use of the meeting space and kitchen (above the office). It was perfect for older family members who have trouble getting around. The staff was incredibly kind and very hard working. Yes, it can be close quarters when the RV spaces are full and the cabins are small but we found the nights to be very quiet and the setting was convenient to all the activities we wanted to get to during our stay.
So far disgusting. Called weeks ago to reserve a site. We are stuck in the middle of a road. No eating area, just calichel! Not at all what was described to us. No scenery, might as well be on the highway! If i could give -10 rating in would!
