She was an older lady and seemed to want me to think she was helpless to do anything about it, but good customer service does not require computer skills. For example, she might have told me where the nearest cafe with Wi-Fi was, offered to let me use the office computer for a minute or two if it was urgent, had her boss call me to let me know when the internet connection would be back up again, gave some small discount on the room, or any other little gesture to show that the business cared.
Vicki said that the Wi-Fi hadn't been working all week, her boss was trying to call someone about it, my room never has any reception anyways, and she couldn't try resetting the router because it was in the attic.
Showers are not the best. Rooms are ok
Had a bad experience with customer service, but the room was fine.
When checking in, I asked the clerk (Vicki) if there was Wi-Fi in the rooms. She said yes and gave me the password. I tried it in my room but there was no reception, so I tried sitting outside of the front office and the Wi-Fi still didn't work, so I let her know about the problem.
This is a great quiet location. Beds were comfortable and room size was reasonable. The room was clean and staff was friendly. My kids loved it there. If you are looking for a simple clean room during a weekend getaway, this place is perfect and the cost is budget friendly.
The only cons are that there was no free breakfast provided, no coffee, and wifi was a bit weak.
My mother and I had a hard time getting anyone to come to check us in from the back room- we tried knocking, calling out "HELLO?", and even calling the motel's phone number but no one came out for several minutes. In fact, we left assuming that no one was in, but another guest offered to help us find someone and the employee came out once she heard a male voice.

Excellent customer service! Great quality sheets and towels. Everything about this place screams high end hotel in an affordable motel. The bathrooms and bedrooms are beyond spacious and will easily accommodate a wheelchair if needed.
I came to Ruidoso for the experience, not the internet, so it wasn't that big of a deal. But I feel that her not disclosing that she knew very well that the Wi-Fi was down (and, in fact, never worked in my room in the first place) when we asked about it at check-in was lacking in integrity.
If there could be zero stars, I would give it as such. Been waiting outside to check in for 30 mins, women employee actually came out as we were holding the door bell down out of frustration opens the door and tells us to wait then slams the door as we are still locked outside the office and continue to wait longer.
